The Port St. Lucie Business Women is a professional organization dedicated to promoting the interests of business women and serving our community in an effective way.

What began as an informal gathering of four friends in the banking field who periodically met for lunch to discuss their careers, has evolved into a professional women's organization that, in addition to networking and fostering business relationships, has awarded tens of thousands of dollars in grants and scholarships to local organizations and women over the past 30 years.

The Port St. Lucie Business Women has grown from its 21 charter members in 1980 to more than 40 women today.  As an independent entity, separate from any national or international organization, the Port St. Lucie Business Women is able to set forth its own agenda and its own goals.

Raising significant funds to be distributed to local charities that benefit women and children, as well as scholarships, is a major goal.  Each year in April the group hosts a Luncheon and Fashion Show that is the premier event of the season.

♦ As many as 300 people attend these events, held at the elegant Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club.

♦ More than $15,000 is raised annually to support the Business Women's Community Action Grants & Awards.

The membership meets regularly to review the progress and achievements of the committees and to enjoy a professional fellowship over lunch.  Special programs are scheduled periodically throughout the year to help accomplish the objectives of our mission.

Membership is by sponsorship of an existing member.
